Storm Cloud in a Jar

storm cloud in a jar

By J. Outram

Contained fear and sadness whirls around in the jar. The lid bends with the pressure.  Negativity. Anger. Tears. Pain. Loneliness. Frustration. Helplessness. Isolation. Darkness.

This painting demonstrates the depressed energies that can become trapped in our souls when we don’t have the strength or the tools to open the lid.

This painting shows how I felt in my early years as an educator when distress seemed to visit every day and I didn’t have a way to release it.

This painting does not reveal what it would look like when everything turns to black and the negative energy becomes so intense you become worried your jar might explode.

 What’s in your jar?
