  Nice to meet you! Lucien Ethier is my great-Aunt Muriel’s father. I knew her very well and keep in touch with her daughter, my mom’s cousin.

This is my Métis grandfather's baptismal certificate. He went through life with two names. The church recorded both. Normandin was his Métis name and Lamondin was his French name. His children would be the first generation to have one name: Lamondin.
